I'm pretty sure there are only 2 A's at the WJC.
For Team Canada I'll say Richards will wear the C and Phaneuf and Bergeron will be the A's.

Slovakian officials haven't announced anything (that I can see), but I would expect Meszaros to be the captain with Baranka as one of the alternates.

Suter wears the "C" for sure and O'Sullivan and Fritsche the "A's". Stafford is a good call but I believe they can only have 2 alternates.

Maybe Captain Canada can lay out Captain Czech once again this year.

Olesz better keep his head up IMO, Dion did not like his comments that the hit wasn't clean. It was as clean as a whistle, just a bad call by the refs.

You're confusing Ryan Suter with Mark Stuart. Tim Brent was pretty confused as well.

With the World Under 18 Team a couple years back, Seabrook was the captain at the 8 Nations tournament with Coburn as one of the assistants. And then at the World Championships, Coburn was the captain with Seabrook and Getzlaf as the assistants. I think they'd probably get consideration again.

In all seriousness, I would say Phaneuf (C) with Richards & Bergeron (A). Can't go wrong with Carter either. Team Canada will have plenty of leaders regardless.

I disagree.

Its not Phaneuf's fault that Olesz had his head down, he should know better. As for the contact to the head, that was all shoulder and what else is his shoulder going to hit if his head his down ??

So you feel that players with their heads down should be exempt from hits ?? If not, how do you hit players with their heads down without hitting their head ?? Nobody seemed to mind Stevens hit on Lindros, which was the exact same thing.
