Best kept secret "O Captain! My Captain!".

Celebrini, Eklund, or Tofolli the next Sharks Captain?

Devastated for the guy, just hope he can have a happy, healthy, post-playing life. In addition, if he wants a role with the organization, I hope he gets it and thrives.

Logan was my draft year (wasn't optimistic as I don't skate), but was always rooting for him. The Toskala trade which largely brought Couture to the Sharks was so critical to the team's long run of being contenders.

Dude was a total beast for us in the playoffs. Thank you for everything, Captain!

One of the most underrated players of his generation. Had we won it all in 16, he might’ve gotten the credit he deserved. But more than his ability I always loved how much he really seemed to love playing for the Bay and his commitment to the organization. Say what you will about DW and his faults, but a lot of our stars really played for the logo under his tenure. Hopefully Grier can keep that alive.

As for the C, Celebrini or Toffoli, please. I really don’t see the value in giving someone like Ferraro the C; I’m sure he’s a good locker room leader, but the captain needs to be able lead on the ice, too.

I would love to see the Sharks have the guts to name Celebrini captain and have him skate with the C the final game of the season.

damn, that's a tough way to go out... i honestly thought his contract was so long that there was a small chance he got at least a mini goodbye tour at the end of it

he left it all out on the ice, can't ask for a whole lot more than that

So many memories of Couture as a Shark. That power play in 2019 might have been his crowning achievement, rallying the guys and all. I hope he can have a healthy post playing life, but I would love to know what he is actually going through. Maybe he might talk about it a little at the conference tomorrow. As for the C, it's one more game, let Celebrini wear the C on Wednesday Night. Have it be an honorary thing.

On the road in a meaningless game?

Edit: My bad. Didn't realize the last game wasn't in Edmonton.

At home, in front of 19 fans?
It would be very pro wrestling to just have him burst from the Shark head revealing the C.

One of the greatest playoff performers of the past era, definitely the best on the Sharks. Guy actually had much higher production in the playoffs than the reg season, something that very few NHLers can say.

It's amazing how that game was the highlight of so many players that had meh careers. Lebanc, Goodrow....

I'd actually have Logan come out one last time in the C to drop the puck.
