Honestly it just seems like Georgiev looses concentration a bit sometimes and his decision making becomes a split second slow. I dunno, I'm more still mad at that St Louis goal because that absolutely cost them at least a point and was one that he just could not give up but he completely misplayed the whole situation. But...there are far worse goalies playing as #1's in the league

Speaking of goalies, geeez does Samsonov need to work on his lateral movement. On several goals (Zibanejad's second and DeAngelo's at least) he's moving from side to side in a pretty much uncontrolled slide. He's not staying square and in control, he's just sliding over on his knees and out of position

that’s been samsonov’s mo his whole career. He’s all over the place. Very little control to his game. He ever gets that figured out he’s a stud. But laterally he over slides he loses angles his recovery is a mess

Kempny, but I guess that was a deflection and the goal was changed? Can't fault him in that case.

Wasn't thrilled with Ovie's 1st goal but it's Ovie so that's a write off. His second though- the rebound should have been controlled, AG seems to get anxious at the end of games. So Hagelin's is terrible, and the last Ovie was bad too.

according to Vally all the goals outside of the kempny goal were low danger % goals against. He doesn’t do that for the 6 on 5 goals but we all know that goal was absurd considering it hit Georgiev in the chest standing up with no screen and he lost it as it popped right over to ovechkin.

so that’s about as bad as you can play in a 6-5 game

The Kovi one timer from 25 feet, bar in, was low danger? Gotcha.

28.4 feet at 50.7 degree angle, 2.9% chance of scoring. That's basically Georgiev though, he stops the hard ones and allows the easier ones.

Bottom row: Goals Saved Above Expected / High Danger_GSAE / Medium Danger_GSAE / Low Danger_GSAE

No clue what you're point is. Did you watch the play? Was Georgiev supposed to be able to react to that shot? It went off the bar and in.
When a puck is coming off a stick at 80 plus mph from 25 feet, you aren't fast enough to react.
If the people griping over that goal ever suited up and stood behind a 90 mph slapper from the point, it would change your entire perspective.

Vally literally did and still labeled it a low % goal

So, shit argument, as the “maybe play sometime!!!” argument usually is

Absolutely was lousy angle beat him short side from the right wall by a righty shot. Georgiev whiffed on it. Wasn’t sure what to do with his glove same mistake he made on the ovechkin shot which was just lower. He was in between.

The point was the shot was taken at a 50.7° angle.

Okay, I'm done.
I'm dumber for trying to make a point to you guys. But keep going with your armchair QB schtick. "I scored 10 goals in mens league!"

I know your attempting to be funny, but you are just showing your ass.
He's making a point in a humorous way to show you're being ridiculous.

I looked at the side view replay and slowed it down. Puck didn't dip. It hit a peak of height and pretty much stayed straight, there's no reason to allow such a rebound. It was unscreened slapper from the blue line, stop with the excuses.

Again

Your argument against it being a “low % goal” is because people who aren’t goalies said it was

When an actual f***ing NHL goalie says it was a low % goal, you completely ignore it and go on about some shit about beer leagues?

It's the HF Godwin's Law. As an HF discussion grows longer, the odds of: 'but do you even lift bra?' aka 'do you even hockeys LIRL?' grows exponentially larger.

I see we're arguing about goalies. I'm always one to defend goalies. A couple of those goals Georgiev allowed last night were straight trash. It's cool, it happens. Team picked him up.
At least 2, and an argument could be made for 2 more. The issue is AG hasn't looked good in 3 games in a row now. If Igor can't go I'd let Hank give it a whirl. He played fairly recently so hopefully he can make a stronger showing and stay within himself.

I have absolutely no problem with Quinn putting Kakko on the 4th line for a bit. This is not the same 4th line that featured Haley (helloooooo?) and Smith. Kakko has been playing better lately and I’m sure the coaching staff will give Kakko encouragement to continue to stay on course and work on improving.
However Gauthier deserves a chance on a higher line and Quinn has no reason to mess with top two RW at this point. Interestingly, it seems they don’t look at LW vs RW as readily interchangeable positions either. We’ve seen how ineffective Kreider, Buchnevich or Lemieux were when put in a different wing spot. Kakko also has been exclusively a RW.
