I mean its clear the guy can't skate or keep up. But if he plays 4 or 5 minutes in a game like this one to knock Hathaways teeth down his throat...Give me that over Malgin all day.

If you get that angry and worked up over an internet hockey forum you should seek mental health help.

I just feel like I lose IQ reading some idiotic takes, likee the above, that's all.

Not exactly. In soccer if teams know they can't limit an attack they let the attack happen but try to direct how the attack goes based on how they think they have best chance of surviving it. Im pretty sure hockey teams do the same. I dont know if hes right either if caps are doing this but your implication is wrong you can't choose to limit shots if the reason you are doing something in the first place is because you know you cant limit, the reverse doesn't work.

Yes, they're choosing the least bad option available to them but I can't imagine any serious team is planning to let us shoot from the slot and hope a body gets in the way. It's not like they have us right where they want us, they're making the most of a bad situation.

It's like a 5'2 guy saying he chooses to be a pacifist, yes it's the best option available to him but that's a more of a necessity than a choice.

Not much money left to complete the team if you're keeping those ones listed. That's the big issue.
We have forward depth that will be ready for the NHL next season. Losing muzzin, Holl, Kerfoot, Engvall, Murray, Samsonov, would give the leafs 16 million plus to grab a legit starter, replace muzzin and give Bunting and kampf raises.
