The Carry On - ho le chit that was a bad movie. Bad acting, bad writing, bad plot with a ton of implausible convenient plot twists

Midnight run - oldie forgot how much they smoke in old movies
Also check out how regularly people drink alcohol in TV and movies - maybe even moreso now than in the good old days. The liquor industry must pay a shit-ton in advertising to Hollywood.

Midnight Run is classic though I did not like it at the time and probably haven't watched it sense.

I think it the obvious silly movies was the borderland for me where it was a rewatch or not.

Baltimore-ish
Hitcher - not streaming, we couldn’t find it

The Holdovers - 6.5/10 … director Alexander Payne (sideways, about Schmidt) is good, has a noticeable style like a less interesting Wes Anderson … movie first 45 mins was really good, lost speed but the acting was great, character arcs were great

Jim beam was the paid for liquor placement in this movie. I forgot how much adults kept liquor bottles around and drank room temperature liquor out of coffee mugs back in the day

How was Kraven?

I saw a rumor that since it isn’t doing well they plan to scrap the entire shitty Sony Spiderverse they were working on (Kraven, Madame Webb, Morbius and Venom)
Tough one for me to be unbiased on. Kraven was my favorite Spidey villain when I was a kid.

It was ok, but I can see why people are killing it.

Who’s watched the Hitcher? I’m caught up in it again. Rewatched it.

It’s so…..80’s, but man, it’s nerve wracking!
I re-watched it a few months back for the first time in many years.

It held up pretty well for it's age. A lot of the 80's and 90's movies that were the bomb back in the day are a tough watch now. Pacing has definitely improved, as has acting. But the stories themselves seem better to me. Not much originality these days and way too many (bad) remakes.
