Found a blurb on Sasson:

Deployed in all situations at the college level. (T12) in NCAA scoring
heading into tournament. Competes. Good jump out of the blocks. Open ice speed is also above average. Agility, in small areas (especially on the PK / starts and
stops) has room for improvement. Works the weak side flank on the PP. Ouick release to the net. Finds pucks around the crease. Battles to extend plays around the net. Plays
a big role for WMU. Some nights he has seen his TOl surpass (24:00). Although he is used on the PK he is average (at best) in the role. His
routes and timing (filling lanes) ranges from average - below average.
2-way Scoring Fwd.

Don't know a ton about him.

Not too excited based on scouting reports, but hopefully he can contribute in what will likely be a bottom six in Abbotsford next year.

Seems reasonable.

Has shown a nice development curve in 2 NCAA years, plays a high-value position, and is a late 2000 birthday instead of all these 1998 and 1999 guys.

Seems ideal he’s headed to Abbotsford and we can get a good read on what he is pretty quickly.

Definitely worth a shot as he’s still relatively young and willing to play in Abbotsford to keep developing instead of demanding an NHL roster spot as a signing condition.
If nothing else, he adds versatile C depth in Abby for a couple years who could be used as a call up if necessary.

Love him or (probably more likely) hate him, Chris Gear offering some insight into so many clients from one agent signing with a team:

There's a couple more tweets from him if you open it up.

Happy with the signing. Put up decent numbers. Clearly a positional need for the organization

Best-case NHL development is a 3rd line centre while the worst-case NHL outcome is fringe 4th line winger. He'll be 23 next season so will need to make some sort of organizational impact pretty quickly. Only real internal competition at C is Raty and Aman.

Haven't watched him play but the reports are solid.

Via Pronman:

28. Max Sasson, C, Western Michigan-NCHC: Sasson has been the center of the top line for Western. He’s a strong skater, and unusually quick for a college free-agent target, especially given he’s not small which will make him quite attractive to NHL clubs. He works hard enough with his feet to potentially play a lower role on a team. The question with him will be offense. Sasson can make plays but he’s not a natural scorer with a ton of skill.
