Proposal: Canucks overpaying for Tuch (Sabres)

Vancouver over pays in value but Buffalo also has no interest in this deal. We have tons of forward prospects that we need to be converting into established talent, not the other way around.

This is one of those situations where asking the player isn't asking for his value on ice so to speak because there are intangible values etc to each team. It's like asking about marchand, tom wilson, crouse etc.

Sure all should in a vaccum have a price tag but they dont atm.

Lets break it down:

2024 1st - Canucks CANNOT develop anybody who isnt a top 10 pick 75% of the time

Lekk - Small and weak.

Podz - Ceiling is a bottom 6 player

Bru - Some potential but also some holes

Kuz - Has value but out coach hates him
And you think the pu pu platter of IN YOUR WORDS highly flawed forward prospects gets you a top line wing.....from a team that is literally overflowing in forward prospects?

Hard hard pass from the Sabres.

Imho the Sabres would 100% pounce on this deal. Then they would use those elite prospects and the first to trade for players to make their current club better. It would be an excellent way for the Sabres to make a much needed change to their core, which is obviously off.
Of course Allvin never makes such an offer. His club doesn’t need Tuch or to tamper with their core dynamics like the Sabres need to.
