Ewing-Oakley-Mason-Rivers-Starks Theory is 3-0-2 so points in every game since the trade deadline, but I fear that may come to an end tonight, as going up against the high powered Caps with a defense of Hainsey, Slavin, Pesce, Hanifin, Murphy and Jordan has all the makings of a blowout. My guess is Peters will spare Ward from this and decides tonight is a good night sacrifice Lack, uh, I mean give Lack a chance to show what he's got.

“At some point we’ve got to get Eddie in on this trip,†head coach Bill Peters said after practice. “We’ll talk on the plane and make a decision.â€

By the way, any news on Faulk? I've looked far and wide and can't seem to find anything about him? He played for a game but then was out again. Will he be back soon as I need to know what to do with him in my fantasy league. Thanks in advance!

This is the Capitals first home game after their west coast trip, so a letdown for them wouldn't be surprising.

At the same, they've lost two in a row so they're probably pissed.

Caps may be pissed, but first game back after a West coast trip can be tough. I'll be at the game. Hopefully it won't get too ugly if it does.

Think they said yesterday Faulk was working out off the ice, so seems like he's not necessarily super close.

If the Canes don't score first, we're toast and you can turn the TV off. Capitals never lose when they score first and they've been giving up the first goal a lot lately.

I'm leaning towards buying a ticket to this. It could be ugly, but I don't get that many chances to see the Canes live these days.

I'm running on 4 hours of sleep with jetlag, but the ticket prices have dropped a little. It's getting reallllly tempting...

FTFY

Hainsey is out with an illness, so Carrick will be taking his place.

Faulk is 100 % and is a must start in all fantasy formats. He is also 1.34334443388w8e8e ppg against the caps in his career.

Some of the above may have been fabricated.

Our two most experienced defensemen tonight in terms of NHL games played are Murphy and Jordan.

8-2-3 or 9-2-1 would be 19 points in the last 13 games.

So would 6-0-7, I guess.

I guess what I'm saying is there's really only room for two more regulation losses. Just keep picking up points.
