Well, I warned you. My GIMP "skills" are awful, especially when I'm rushing.

And now, I present to you...movie spoofs, Hurricanes style:

Well, the original plan was obviously the Andrej's Day Care(uh), based on the former pronunciation of his name, popularized by the dreadful Rick Jeanneret. After that, I was basically just throwing crap together, and then I got lazy. But hey, I put (some) effort into it.

Anyways, now that that's over with...

Canes Lineup (to be edited later after morning skate defines the lines)

Tlusty-E Staal-Semin
Gerbe-J Staal-Dwyer
Skinner-Nash-Dvorak
Sutter-Lindholm-Bowman

Sekera-Faulk
Bellemore-Hainsey
Harrison-Murphy

Khudobin
Ward

Capitals Lineup (From their previous game, also subject to edit)

Johansson-Backstrom-Ovechkin
Laich-Grabovski-Brouwer
Chimera-Fehr-Ward
Erat-Beagle-Wilson

Alzner-Green
Erskine-Carlson
Urbom-Oleksy

Holtby
Neuvirth

Now please, don't make me do a GDT for...oh...about a month. Please?

Also...yes, I made Hainsey the female character. But it doesn't matter if he scores 6 goals a night, right? Oh, and ignore Bellemore's character's arms. I had to trim out several extra characters from the movie poster, so I just kinda failed at drawing back in his shirt and arms.

Just a reminder.

Chip Alexander ‏@ice_chip
Reminder: next three Canes games to be televised on SportSouth. That's Ch 521 TWC (1521 HD), Ch 647/647-1 on DirecTV.

Chip Alexander ‏@ice_chip:

Khudobin first off ice.

Lines: Tlusty-EStaal-Semin; Gerbe-JStaal-Dwyer; Skinner-Nash-Dvorak; Bowman-Sutter-Lindholm. Westgarth, Ruutu extra forwards.

One change to previous: Lindholm centering fourth line with Sutter and Bowman on wings.

Lindholm at C on the 4th would make sense. Hes played mostly wing the last 2 games and he could be eased back to center for an eventual swap with Nash down the line.

I like our chances in this game if we can stay out of the box. It won't be pretty if Harrison takes dumb penalties like he did against the Pens.

Staying out of the penalty box is the key here. Caps have only scored 3 ES goals in three games but their powerplay has been solid as usual at 50%.

Here's to hoping something good.

Are you doing all of the GDTs this year?

As punishment for his lack of effort on this one, yes...yes, he is.

Just kidding there, PE.

Hey, you know that you could always officially sign up for one...so I don't have to keep doing them. Oh, and the quality is pretty awful because I wanted to get it up close to midnight. I actually spent time working on the defensive "movie", then kinda just threw rushed to get all the headshots into GIMP for the other two. Hence some of the rough outlines of players' heads and poor head placement on bodies.

Solid job PE.

Is it too soon to be "bad for Ekblad"? Hmm, yes?

Nah, it's a pretty awful job. I could probably do better if I didn't try to rush and get that done in an hour and a half. Also if I used a mouse, but I didn't want to go get it.

And no, it's never too early for a tank theme. Never.

Staying out of the penalty box is the key here. Caps have only scored 3 ES goals in three games but their powerplay has been solid as usual at 50%.

We're looking at you, Jay! Don't you do it.

It would make total sense. I could see something like letting him play the next 2 on the 4th line and, unless Skinner/Nash/Dvorak totally go off, moving him up to the 3rd line for the Yotes game. After the Islanders game, it's decision time IMHO. But that would give him 2 more games to get acclimated and 4 games to see if he's really ready in the position that he should be occupying (3C) this year.
