Whenever I don't come in here for 48hres, there's automatically a new bandwagon that people jump on....... crazy how within a week Smith was the guy most talked about, 2 days later Leonard is on everyone's lips, and 2 days later it's now Benson who's the hot ticket.
Can't wait to tune in Friday when I read about the next new best flavor.

Why do you prefer him to Benson? Benson is incredible, a much better foundation of skills and decision-making.

I can't even imagine the very high cost it would take for the Habs to try and convince the Ducks to move down from 2nd to 5th and to pass on Fantilli. I'd say good luck with that attempt Kent but you'll very likely won't like the cost very much to get the Ducks to even consider such a move.

I see no point in paying the cost of moving up 1 spot to 4th unless Smith goes 3rd to CBJ and Carlsson drops to 4th and you really want Carlsson over anyone else left on the board.

First, I 100% agree with you that we should pick Michkov all the way. I would trade up to get him without hesitation.

But as for Benson and your scenario of him coming at 18 and being wasted, for some reason I imagine this happening more with Smith. He comes in and becomes Lars Eller.

Benson has Sakic-like greatness written all over him but people stupidly passing on him because "size" and "skating" and then everybody in 15 years wondering why teams were so imbecile to pass on him. f*** this shit.

Fantilli doesn't look like Béliveau at all in any way. Béliveau was one of the smartest players and had MUCH better hands and vision than Fantilli, and he was bigger. Béliveau was probably the greatest hockey prospect in history, in competition with only Mario Lemieux.

Depends, the price may not be astronomical. If Anaheim likes Fantilli best but doesn’t rank Michkov far behind, why not grab a couple pieces and make it happen?

Hughes likely has insight who everyone likes based on these talks, if Anaheim likes Michkov and knows there is little to no danger in dropping down 3 spots but you can add a couple assets it’s a no brainer for them.
