I'm not sure if having Bell fibe affects the price, or not, but...Anybody has any suggestions for me moving back to Canada (Ottawa) next month to watch the Habs?
Considering any legal streaming service or subscription to TSN or RDS if available there, just hoping some Ottawa citizens can guide me with the best options out there You can PM me
I'm not sure if having Bell fibe affects the price, or not, but...
For anyone wanting a "good" legal way to watch the Habs games I suggest Bell Fibe TV app.
You'll need:
Smart phone/tablet
Chromecast, or anything that let's you connect to your TV, unless you're cool watching it on your phone/tablet.
For about 20 bucks a month you get all TSN channels (unless there's a special one besides TSN- TSN 4, or 5) and all of the Sportsnet channels except for Sportsnet 360 I believe is their special channel. You can get SN 360 for about 4 bucks a month, so 25 bucks total.
Compare that to Sportsnet's shitty package that's like double that and you still don't get all the games. I didn't when I had it about 2 years ago.
You also get the CityTV games for the Saturdays when everyone is playing and the Habs get relegated to that.
That's what I have and I'm able to watch all the hab games, I believe all the sens games and then some other games.
If you have Bell and didn't know this, when you call just lie and say you were looking to get that type of package, but between thar and whatever else you have with them is too expensive and hint you might go elsewhere and they'll probably be able to offer you a deal magically.
The blackout games lay at the feet of RDS..............not sure how that all works, but it's insanely stupid.Just saw TSN has a promotion of TSN+ for 6 months for 80 bucks total.
I think that gets the blackout games, but not sure. Does anyone know ?
So I don’t need a bell subscription? I just need to download the app and pay for the networks?I'm not sure if having Bell fibe affects the price, or not, but...

Nothing more frustrating than paying money only to have a blackout, and you have to find RDS in order to watch, providing you have RDS.
Hope one of the other guys can answer for you.......regionally protected rights, is the main culprit.
Yes, you'll create a login for it.So I don’t need a bell subscription? I just need to download the app and pay for the networks?
I’m willing to pay some money if I can find a way to get to watch all the habs games without having to purchase a cable-satellite subscription
This is tempting. I guess I can always re-up for the extra month and then cancel at the end of april - assuming the habs miss the POs.Yes, you'll create a login for it.
However, I thought it was 8, but it's 6, so even if you sign up for the first game, you'll miss a month as that will end on March 9th, or 10th(whichever day is the first game in October), so you might have to do it twice for the full season, which sucks.
I should say I'm 99% sure you'll just have to make an account.
If you had a bell account, then I think you get tsn online for free, you just need to sign in, but that I could be wrong as I just use bell fibe.
These blackouts suck and whomever is responsible for it suck.
As an Ottawa resident, I find my Bell Fibe package with SN and TSN really useful. I don't recall running into any major issues with regional blackouts for some reason. At the very least, you'll get both Sens and Habs regional games.Anybody has any suggestions for me moving back to Canada (Ottawa) next month to watch the Habs?

If you do sign up, just make sure there isn't some bs about being charged the full thing after like a 7 day "trial" period, or something like that. This is tempting. I guess I can always re-up for the extra month and then cancel at the end of april - assuming the habs miss the POs.
(off topic) ah yes, Haters Gonna Hate playoffs theme, good times.Anybody has any suggestions for me moving back to Canada (Ottawa) next month to watch the Habs?
