On an average day, he makes up to $30 an hour...
He was busted for tossing a can of soda at a woman who refused to hug him in Washington Square Park in 2013. The can bruised her face. He was also accused of punching a woman in the face on the Coney Island boardwalk last year.

And of course the guy's parents rush to his defense, oh surely their sweet little angel doesn't have an ounce of bad blood in him!

From the article:

His parents told the Times their son was autistic and they didn't know he was frequenting downtown public spaces offering free hugs. They said they also didn't know about his change of behaviour when turned down or refused a tip.

That's rushing to his defense? :dunno:

There's no way he's autistic. Unless he has very, very slight autism then giving out free hugs on a daily basis would nearly be impossible for someone autistic.

Rushing into defend his character? Sounds like it.

Love how they faked being unaware about all of this, too.

"Whaaaat? Our autistic son has been routinely giving out hugs to complete strangers in downtown New York City, and punching people who didn't pay him? We totally had no idea!"
