Since the team was named, there hasn't really been much talk as to who will play in the nets for Canada. I think it is generally assumed that Martin Brodeur is the starter. He has the experience of playing in the Olympics (where the pressure for Canada's goaltender is perhaps more intense than for any other team in any other tournament) and has been playing well as of late.
I wonder though whether Canada will alternate goalies during the round robin. Without disrespecting their opponents, I think it is fair to say that their first three games (Italy, Germany and Switzerland) are relatively easy. Combine that with the fact that the tournament is over within 11-12 days, it would appear that Luongo or Turco may get a start within those first 3 games. I would give either one at least one start to shake off some rust they may have in case Brodeur suffers an injury, as was the case at the World Cup.
I guess the question becomes, who would you rather have play that extra game, Turco or Luongo? Judging from their play this season, I have a tough time in making the argument for one guy over the other.
Though highly unlikely, I wouldn't be adverse to seeing Luongo start against Italy in the first game. It probably won't happen, since the starter (Brodeur) generally plays the first game in a tournament, but I think it would be great to see Luongo play against the team of his heritage and win over some Italian fans (although he probably wouldn't have enough saves to make to do so ).
