Good, I really hate when we have these big tournaments without seeing Russia - Canada at some point. I would have paid big just to see them playing the best of 3 final but this works as well.

About the game? I think what Russia learned from the first period in the exhibition game vs. Canada was the best you pre-tournament experience you could get.
If they can avoid Canada's steamroll during 1st periods then we can win it.

I can't wait. This to me is what the World/Canada Cup is all about.

Obviously I think we'll win it, but in reality how are they going to beat Price? Russia is playing this really cautious game and I think it will backfire. You don't want to sit back and let a team like Canada pounce on you early. If I were them I would at least try going run and gun with Canada to see how it fares.

Canada is just too good. But in one single game anything can happen. Russia does have good goaltending and has players on offense who can score. It would be great if Russia could finally score on PP.

Seriously, enough whining about Team NA. It's a ridiculous concept. How the hell would Canada A vs Canada/USA B be any fun? Would you want to watch your team play your team's top prospects in the Stanley Cup semifinals? It's like an afternoon scrimmage. No history, no emotion, no cheering, no loyalty. Go watch (or better yet) play in a sunday beer league or pond hockey if you want "FUN" and "DIFFERENT".

Canada-Russia will always have historic and cultural significance that transcends the sport, and frankly these two teams haven't been playing against each other with their full rosters that often. Their A teams haven't played each other in over 6 years. And you want to sacrifice that for some gimmick B team?
