3 goals (not counting the shootout) in 2 group games so far.

3 goals allowed in the entire 2014 Olympics.

Then again, considering how legendary that defense/roster/strategy/system/plan was and the dropoff from Ben Scrivens to Carey Price, it was basically gonna be impossible to duplicate that.

You will be a happier chrisk97 if you just accept that it wasn’t in the cards this time for nhlers to participate. The nhl and IOC both were just too dug in.

Yet if we score more than 6+ goals vs South Korea, we'll have scored more in the group stage than in 2014.

International hockey is all about clogging up the centre of the ice and in front of the net. Do that and you can dramatically reduce the numbers of goals scored and scored upon you and stay in a game with a team that is vastly superior.

So it follows.

Definitely notice that this Canadian team doesn’t use the large ice surface as well as the 2014 team

Hockey is all about clogging up the centre of the ice and the front of the net, you mean? I don't see what is so vastly different defensively on a small rink, the area in the front of the net is equally important regardless of ice size.

Even if the nhl could be in this tournament i wouldn't see team canada replicate what they did 4 years ago in sochi.

Which is odd considering nearly everyone on this team all play on the bigger ice.
lolll, the level of skill and hockey I.Q is significantly lower on this team, not to mention the lesser coaching staff, so it really isn't that odd.

Canada has given up 3 goals total through 4 games. pretty impressive

have to laugh at all the guys predicting them to finish 5th,6th, even 7th
