There are people complaining about everything. Barzal is a puck hog. Bean is dumb. Dubois is not good enough for 3rd overall. Etc. This team has no Crosby or McDavid but they are very good and balanced.

I agree with you except for Juulsen criticism

I was simply pointing out a flaw in his game at the moment. I even said I like him in the same post. There is nothing wrong with being critical of their play, without going over the top and making it personal like some do.

True but as James Duthie just pointed out, when was the last time our goalies stood tall? Mason? Tokarski? Skarek is a good goalie but Ingram should be out dueling him.

It's like I said Hart and Ingram are good goalie...They are the two best goalies in the CHL and like you said outside of this tournament Canada has elite goaltending at the NHL level. But for whatever reason it just has not translated to this tournament.

I guess it's relative, he hasn't been "bad" this game like the other games but he's hardly been noticeable either.

I find him and Gauthier are pushing it more. Dubois needs to have some success here. Has not had much. I will say he has set up team mates for great chances that have not been finished .. almost every game

Oh I agree, just not sure what the cause is. Could be out high expectations, or that they rarely get a chance to stand on their head and steal a game against inferior opponents.

I've been asking that same question forever.

How come our goalies are always just adequate? Even on the famed 2005 team, the goalie was Jeff Glass.

I understand we won't always have that future all-star team, but we never have a goalie that takes us further than we should be.

Tbf if I was putting bets on who has a better career down line it would be on Skarek... and that is no insult to Ingram.

I reckon he goes first round in 2018.

That's impossible when every year where we "should be" is a gold medal.

Agreed about the pushing it more for sure. He could yet pull it together and be valuable.

It's not like we don't produce elite talent at the NHL level.

A lot of it has to do with the pressure of this tournament given by Canadian fans and media. We're still developing good goalies but it's definitely dipped a lot the past 5 years.

We had the firepower to outscore anyone in 09. Tokarski was bleeding goals. Mason, Price, Pogge, Glass were the last ones to actually perform in this tournament.
