The Los Angeles Kings aren't exactly going into the 2016 Stanley Cup Playoffs in perfect shape.

Although it seems likely that they will get players like Alec Martinez, Marian Gaborik, and Matt Greene back in the lineup at some point, the Kings have played some rather uninspired hockey since they clinched a playoff berth on March 21, winning just four games since then, and giving up almost four goals per game in their seven losses since March 21.

Can the Kings fix their problems in time for Game 1 tonight against the San Jose Sharks? What do they need to fix and how? Will the Sharks draw extra motivation from their embarrassing come-from-ahead playoff series loss to the Kings in 2014?

For all that, check out...

Of course it's been the turnovers. Hockey is mostly a game of mistakes. The Kings can look steady and great 95% of the time, but then those shifts appear where we can't breakout. It'll be that simple.
