Avalanche reminds me of that pretty girl in school. Whenever she walks by my locker I try my best to bring my A game even if it’s for a brief moment. In short, Oilers wake up for them

When Anaheim or San Jose’s walk by , the energy is a lot lower

This is giving the AV's too much credit. They've won a couple more rounds and been a stellar regular season team. They haven't been much in the post season that matters, and on that basis are in a pretty similar position to the Oilers. Just that their top player is Mackinnon, and ours are McD and Drai, arguably the pretties.

That said AV's are made for the flash. But that doesn't necessarily win games in post season. Both orgs have struggled in that regard.
