If you are asking can he do it this season I don't think he will and I agree he would need PP time for him to have a chance. However I hope to be proven wrong because if he scores 20 goals that's only going to be a positive thing for the team.

He’s looked the same to me. Only looked more dangerous on the score sheet.

I don't think he will hit 20 this year with 30 games to go and sitting at 10 presently.

I think the most surprising thing at this point, that as much criticism as Hyman gets, his 10 goals are still more than Marner (8), and the same amount as his linemate Nylander (10) this year.

He's been heating up on the scoresheet lately, if he can keep it up, I suppose it's possible this year.

I definitely think he can do it in his career.

His feeding ground is around the crease. And he's got elite linemates. So he's definitely able to score 20. However he could easily score 13-15 the next year. Ebs and flows with a player of his caliber.

I think the criticism has largely diminished this year, exactly for that reason.

That was the complaint. That 20-something points on a top line doesn't cut it no matter what else you provide. Turn that into 40-50 and now we're talking.

He's been a high scorer in every league he's played in, I'd say he could score 25 with a bit more confidence offensively.

I think we have seen what he is capable of. He's a 10% shooter who doesn't shoot a lot, and the club has enough forward depth that he will never see regular pp time. Maybe 15ish which is not bad at all for ES production, but he will be in tough to maintain #2 in ice time for more than another year or two so won't have a lot more chances for a career high..

Nah, no it wouldn't, we would still hear the same old

"wah, Hyman doesnt belong on the Matthews line"
"wah, Hyman has no finish"
"wah, Hyman is an anchor on the Matthews line"

But he doesn't play the PP. Last year, Kadri was LWer with Matthews and Nylander on PP and scored 31. Kadri's diminished production this year is because Marleau has taken much of his PP time.
