Meanwhile, LA's other goalie, Copley, has a 4.98 GAA and .788 SV%. Imagine if Blake had counted on him repeating last year's performance. It took only a few games for Talbot to win the starting role from him.

He’s always been good at stopping the pucks he’s supposed to. Kings are playing pretty well in front of him but he’s a solid tendy still

It’s amazing how much the team in front of a goalie impacts on their statistics.

It’s a credit to the Kings’ style of hockey.

It really makes you question laying out big bucks for a netminder.

Wish they'd bring those jerseys back
And the black chevrolet jerseys too. They did raiders better than the raiders ever did.

Disagree. Copley has been trash. Interesting that it's on a goalie when they lose and give up more than 2 goals, but it's the team defense when it's a win and the goalie gives up 2 or fewer. The most thankless position in sports.

The Kings #1 C, D and G are ancient. Making the playoffs is fine and dandy, but key players being gassed by the end of Game 1 in the playoffs is the issue. The Kings fortunes will depend on how well the depth covers for the likely drop in play from the stars. I don't think anyone expects Talbot to play an injury free season, and once/if Arvidsson recovers to play there will be major cap problems.

I was sceptical of the signing, but just cause a guy has played in Alberta, doesn't mean he's cooked.

It's super early but his rebound control has been super impressive. I don't mean kicking pucks into corners, he really has a knack for squeezing the puck and killing the play dead.

Looks very solid back there with Felix Potvin's old number 39. Copley either needs to step it up or Blake will have to find a way to upgrade the back-up position.

Rittich outplayed Copley and Talbot both during camp.

I could see a swap happening.
