Looks like a Joffrey Lupul-Jaromir Jagr love child….

He’s pretty underrated yes. Most of his criticism is unwarranted, he’s defensively responsible, good for 20ish goals, good pker, can play anywhere, and is also decently physical

Basically a better kerfoot, but what he can’t do is be any better than a 4th liner in the playoffs, offensively at least

His best ever run is 7 in 21. Career 20 point player. My one concern of his is the playoff production, he had 3 in 11 last year too. I expect a bit more from a guy who had spent a lot of time with skilled players during the run.

With that said he is signed to a good contract at just above 2

Said this in the Rangers PGT.

Jarnkrok has been great. He's a very vanilla player and let's face it, this fanbase likes their Rocky Road/Moose Tracks/Pralines and Cream type players. But for his salary, he provides a well-rounded game and is currently on pace for 50 points. Solid.

Probably. Good for 20 goals, is great defensively (while getting tough usage), and can play up and down the lineup. And is at a great price point in terms of contract

His reputation unfairly suffers because while he often does all the little things right on the ice he isn't making highlightreel plays so he gets overlooked.

Good player.

His defensive play makes that 3rd line a viable one.

He did well on the 1st line last season, so much so that Matthews asked to have him on the line with him.

Ideally playing 3rd line like he is. I just wish Keefe would give them more TOI. They’ve proven to be a solid and productive line, and Jarnkrok’s game has allowed Robertson to get some much needed time, letting him keep his game simple and not try to do too much.

Like the player, now need to see him do it in the playoffs. Maybe as a 3rd line player that has a chance to gel over the rest of the season with Robertson and Domi , we’ll get to see it…….

…..Unless Keefe galaxy brains it again and puts all our lines in the blender like he did after the TDL last year…

Next to Tavares he's arguably Dubas best free agent signing, although you can make the argument for Brodie and Bunting too, Bunting was great when he wasn't turning himself into a target for the officals.

Regardless though Jarnkork is a bargain at his current price.

this may sound ridiculous, but he's slowly becoming one of my favorite players on the team. 200 foot player, can be used up and down the lineup, consistent effort, consistent results.

Someone in here mentioned that he is a better version of Kerfoot and I think that's only telling half the story. Kerf was certainly useful in the same capacity, but the thing that makes Calle better is not his offensive skill, it is his consistency IMO. He is about as reliable as any player we have on the roster. He will never wow you with dazzling skill, but he will always show up with a consistent effort. This usually amounts to consistent production.

He's a great complimentary player, and his contract is looking more and more like a bargain at this point.

Until he can show even close to the same level of play in the playoffs when things get far more physical, he is rated just fine.

Yeah, he's been a good player and great signing for us.
Produces well. Good defensively. Good forechecker. Good speed. Good shot. Meshes well with everyone. Can play anywhere in the lineup. Can play in any game state. Cheap.
Underrated for sure. Pretty much the ideal depth player. Pretty crazy that people talked about dumping him at the beginning of the year.

True definition of an energy guy.
He always brings effort and can PK1 and PP2

Nothing to not like except his playoff resume. 5 goals in 86 games is not a small sample.

Solid indeed..His career playoff numbers are horrendous and he went completely MIA for us last spring, Play this way in the playoffs and I'll be much happier.
