I couldn't be more scared of this series, bummed we have to play you guys in the first round =(

Dallas legit has 3 1st-lines. A goated goalie.

I really think Dallas-Vegas are the strongest in the West this year, and everybody else is a mile behind.

Why is Harley not on the top pairing? Or is the pairing listings not necessarily representative of the actual order.

With the way PDB is, the order they appear in on those is irrelevant, that's why it's funny how national broadcasts always focus on Johnston being on the "third line", but he's like 2nd in TOI for forwards.

Harley and Lindell will always be at 22+ minutes, unfortunately Ceci and Lyubushkin will also find themselves averaging around 20 minutes per game, so that leaves Bichsel who is big and can skate very well, but still very rookie with his defensive coverage and positioning, and Petrovic, who is somehow a legitimate upgrade over Dumba/Smith.

Robertson out is a big blow for Dallas. Rantanen is the man to carry the load.
Their forward group even without Robo is still one of the best out of all the playoff teams.

It’s the defense that we’re all very worried about right now.

This is probably the most pessimistic I've been about the Stars going into the playoffs in a long time and that doesn't even factor in the opponent. Just been playing awful hockey for a while.

Shots aren't everything, but they haven't outshot a team since Anaheim on March 18th, 15 straight games. Some of the games being badly outshot too like EDM 44-24 and CAL 48-19. Stars won 7 straight during that stretch, but never looked like a dominant team to me.
Also, Avs have been improving in this regard. +4 SOG differential per game on the season, but +6.5/game since the break.

The question often though is if they are taking dangerous shots. Sometimes they get stuck in the habit of playing too much of a perimeter game. And they tend to chase defensively near the perimeter, leaving the slot vulnerable.
