I don't know about rude awakening, but the whoever wins this series will be in for at least 1 more, and up to 3 more very challenging rounds. While there are some lopsided results, there are generally no 'easy' series.

Either of these teams will have to go through a gauntlet to win the cup.

I don’t think either Colorado and Dallas (proven playoff teams over the years) are really concerned about an unproven team in Winnipeg, who have showed time and time again that they can’t win when it matters.

Avs news:

- Landeskog's AHL LTIR conditioning stint officially ended; was returned to the Avs.
- Team held optional skate today. Every single player other than Erik Johnson was present. 15 forwards, 7 defense, and 2 goalies.
- Nobody in non-contact jerseys. All full participants.
- Bednar and the players all sound optimistic that everybody will be ready to go for game 1.

We should get an idea of the lines during full practice tomorrow or Thursday.

Isn’t that the guy on third pair? What was it that Stars fans were concerned about with him. Was it that he isn’t the brightest bulb (IIRC from perusing their board) or his lack of experience?

Before picking an option I'd like to clarify few points:
1) Is MacKinnon resting or is he injured? He hasn't played since 8th of April.
2) What's the status on Landeskog?
3) Is Nichushkin gonna stay in a shared room with a teammate or is he gonna share it it with a lady of the night and substances mixed with spirits? Any rumors on his plans for these playoffs?

For #3 it's gonna be both.
