Both teams have been limping towards the playoffs.
We'll see if it's because they've been resting or if they just suck.
Avs will be well rested to say the least. First team to finish the regular season, heck no other team finishes until Tuesday.
And Mack, Makar, Toews, etc. didn't even fly out to Cali for this 2-game road trip Sat-Sun, so even more rest for them.

Get the feeling Pete Deboer will try to line match his top line (Robertson-Hintz-Rantanen) against Mackinnons line as much as he can.
This is a doubled-edged sword. Yes, plenty of rest but the star players on the Avs will have gone over a week without playing a game. There's going to be some rust in the first period of game 1. The rest will help them down the stretch of a long series, but it could hurt them in the immediate.
It wouldn't shock me one bit to see Dallas jump out to a multi goal lead in the first 15 minutes of game 1.
Dallas hasn't won a single "Game 1" in five years (2020 Cup Finals vs. Tampa), so I wouldn't worry too much about the Avs being rusty.![]()
I didn't say Dallas would win![]()
That is exactly what happened last year. Dallas had a 7-game series with Vegas while Colorado had their feet up. Dallas jumped out to an early 3-0 lead in Game 1 before the Avalanche made the eventual comeback. This is a doubled-edged sword. This might be the best matchup of the playoffs. Also, after a playoff series against the Avs, Rantanen will officially be a Dallas Star.
It'll be real interesting to see who ends up with more points this series, Mikko or Necas.
Do we have any new update on Miro or is he still unlikely for game 1?
I think Dallas wins game 1 and then all the Stars fans act disrespected in hereshould be a great series
YuckHe is unlikely for the entire series, never mind game 1.
I think people are picking you to lose because your 1D is out with injuryI mean its tradition at this point, happened last year, happened vs. Vegas.. everyone always picks the team that loses its fine.

Why did they pick to lose when he wasn't injured?
Now we're f***ing talking.Imagine if Joel Kiviranta scores a hat trick to eliminate the Stars in game 7.
This is the tried and true play book for beating the Aves. Clog up the ice and tread water against MacGinnons line and your depth will always win the series.Get the feeling Pete Deboer will try to line match his top line (Robertson-Hintz-Rantanen) against Mackinnons line as much as he can.
Hintz is the Stars best 2 way forward and has the speed to stay with Mackinnon, while Rantanen has been really good defensively I've noticed since he became a star (Didn't know this was part of his game)
Think the direction will be try to match and limit whatever the Avs top line does. If they can close to offset each other's scoreboard impact, it gives Dallas a chance to win the series from their other lines.
Colorado has done a decent job to retool lines 2,3,4 but I'd still give the Stars a chance to beat them.
Question will be how well can Robertson-Hintz-Rantanen play against Mackinnon.
