Credit to Dallas, they turned it up in the nick of time. Going back to Denver down 2-0 would have been a nightmare and they narrowly avoided it.

We've got ourselves a series. Now lets get up in the altitude, get Landeskog in the lineup, and see what MacKinnon & Makar can do against that Bichsel - Petrovic pairing.

Stunned that Girard, EJ and Lindgren are managing to keep up with Dallas's 2.6 1st lines, but you can already see the cracks and physical and mental fatique setting in.

I'd still be shocked if Miro returned in this series.....if Dallas gets by the Avs it'll have to be without their top d-man.

If they can manage that, and add Miro and Robo both at 100%, gonna feel a lot better about this team's chances. than I did 24hrs ago.

Shapiro made a comment in the post game he believes Miro is back game 4. This was based on him watching Miro skating for an hour pre-game, joining the team and said his knee felt pretty good when they spoke after practice.

Well getting just one of 'em back might still be enough.

Getting Miro back is far more crucial IMO. Our forward group is still one of the best even without Robo. Our defense on the other hand ... not so much. They've been doing a fine job so far, but it will only get worse the longer this series goes. We'll see, but hopefully it's true and we do see Miro back for game 4.

Headed to Vegas last year down 2-0, if I recall correctly.

But they also hadn't lost the previous seven games going into that series. :help:

They just basically need to be on survivol mode before Heiskanen comes back

0-2 against this Avs team would have been too much

Dallas was the better team in Game 2, but it's a tough pill to swallow losing on a play like that. Neutral ice turnover, followed by chaos and missed assignments on the back check. All of this caused by Miles Wood, a low hockey IQ player who shouldn't even be dressed.

That aside, Colorado needs to shake up its top lines. Neither line is doing much, especially not line 2.

Well you've got a familiar face probably plugged back into the lineup tomorrow - one I was expecting to play last night, but I guess someone on the Avs' side of the wall figured Miles Wood would be a better fit for Game 2 than Gabriel Landeskog.

Either that or they really, REALLY had their hearts set on that home debut. :dunno:

I wonder if Dallas winning game two means giving Miro an extra couple of days? Surely if Dallas was going back to Colorado down 2-0 he'd be in the lineup game 3.

Also, does Colorado dress Gabe for 3?

Agreed there. There's enough firepower up front with Rants, Hintz, Benn, Sequin, Johnson, Duchene, Granny and Parchment. As terrific as Harley has been, having two top tier D-men would be a massive boost both offensively and defensively.

I would hope if that were the case that Dallas wouldn't want to rush him back anyway, seeing as how it'd probably just make things worse.

As mentioned earlier though the updated timeline has Heiskanen possibly ready to go by Game 4, which sounds very promising.

Sounds like game 4. If they lose last night who knows, maybe they force him a game early.

And I’d have to imagine the Avs play Gabe next game, playing Wood cost them last night.

If he's ready for 4, he would have been ready for 3. Frankly, waiting for possibly being down 3-0 against a beast like Colorado while on the road seems almost pointless. If they can somehow get a split on the road I'd hold him out until 5, but that would pretty much require them winning the next game.
