The Q seems like it would be a better introduction to NA rinks and play style for a D+1 Euro player than the AHL.

Let's ease the guy in. No need to rush.

Kulich sort of reminds me of Pastrnak. I think he ends up at wing and is really, really dangerous.
That is, we will have two Pastrnak, not bad.

Not that the QMJHL is bad option itself, but if people here are advocating for Kulich to DY+1 develop on a cellar-dwelling QMJHL team without a head coach simply because it's the CHL and he'll get 1C TOI, you're gonna have to make me a better pitch. This was a bad, bad team, like worse than Bloom's Saginaw squad bad, and employed Chadd Cassidy as their coach until like a week ago.

Start there. Someone will trade for him after the WJC to make a push for the Playoffs. I think the AHL might be too big of an adjustment for his first year in NA. My best shot.

I mean, were they playing any of their forwards at D? Because that would at least represent one step up over Saginaw.

I think the advantage of him adjusting to the North American game for a year before (likely) transitioning to the AHL in 23-24 is a good thing, and I think it's better than him playing in the Czech men's league which certainly has a ceiling for developmental use, regardless of the team he's on.

As compared to starting him in Rochester or even worse, Cincy? CB even with a crowded clown car seems like a better option.

You mean "adjusting to the NA game", yeah?

Playing in a senior league can stagnate offensive development.
Scorers need to practice scoring and being a leading player. I'm sure he's good enough for AHL or any european league but I'd rather he go there to dominate in a year instead.

Kids a FORCE

The thing is, he lit up the world juniors and his tape speaks for itself, so why on earth did he fall to 28? I mean you look at Kimell who in his own right has a really beautiful shot, but his skating is questionable. You're telling me Kulich cannot snipe and isn't a more proficient skater. The only thing I can assume is because he was lighting up the Czech league and not Liiga.

He lit up the U18 tournament, not the "world juniors", i.e. U20. Excited to see what he'll do in the latter.

Speaking of which, I wonder if he'll play in both tournaments, in August and December?
