Thought that it might be worth to create a thread about Danil Alalykin. Went undrafted a year ago (which isn't a surprise, since he didn't play in the MHL back then), but this year there already were reports that the Flyers and Kings have shown interest.

I don't see an issue with his posts. He's a young player who is producing well for his age in Russia. He's a prospect, not some 25 year old KHL'er.

According to eliteprospects.com he is still eligible for the 2022 NHL Draft.

While the current situation makes drafting any players from Russia tenuous, with the prospects of holding his rights indefinitely does that make Alalykin a worthwhile late round target?
