Thought he had a very impressive write-up in The Black Book. They called him the total package and commented on his skating, smarts, and skill level.

I had only 1 viewing of this kid but I really liked what I saw. He always wants the puck on his stick and wants the offense to go through his stick. He has the ability to receive passes that a kid his age wouldn't be able to settle down. When Kennedy stepped on the ice, he always did something that impressed me whether that be in the offensive zone, defensive zone, or in transition. He will be top-10 pick in the upcoming QMJHL draft.

Expect him to go at 7 to Halifax but anything is possible in this world. Skilled and smart forward with good mobility. Could be comparable to Riley Kidney but with more of a shooting mentality.
Exactly what I had heard and I believe it is the best spot for him.

The question then becomes whether he should actually play in the Q at 16 with Halifax who already have a lot of 2005s in the line-up right now which will need some ice time. They also are going all-in this year I would assume, so the minutes will be hard to come by. Add to that fact that Kennedy was 6th in ice time on his Midget team among forwards and did not destroy the league... I don't know where he should play to be honest, but there is probably 0 chance he doesn't play in the Q at the end of the day.

Do you know who the last top-10 pick to not start on their teams roster?
Kennedy is one of the readiest junior players in the 2022 draft from what I have seen.

Now the property of the Rimouski Oceanic - surprised he went this low and shocked that Halifax passed on him but he should do fine in Rimouski.

15 pts in his last 5 games, starting to pick up some steam.
