Jets fans have been quietly optimistic about Kraskovsky since the draft. He was one of the youngest players drafted (almost eligible for 2015). He was billed as having size and determination, with good defensive instincts. In the first two games of the SSS he's shown that maybe he's even better than expected.

I'd be interested in opinions about him from others. Does he seem to have NHL potential?

Thought his goals today were pretty weak.

Not sure if the goals were "weak". He did have more time than he should have, though.

His assist was actually the best of his scoring plays, though.

Jarry was barely screened on the first one. Should've had it because the shot was not very hard. The other was a defensive breakdown and a wild spinning shot on net that luckily went in. Nice assist though. Will have to see more before I start calling him a legit prospect.

Really like his game. Was a standout for me in the first game even though he didn't put up any points, but physical on the forecheck and still made some nice plays. Looks like a nice prospect for Winnipeg.

Thanks for the report.

From watching the two SSS games on television he looked to be a decent skater with good size and some good effort / intensity. At this very early stage, he looks like he might have some potential as a useful 3rd-liner who can kill penalties.

Was a very impressive player in both games against the dub. Completely dominated at times during the second game, a lot like Charlie Coyle did in college (really similar players IMO). When he entered the zone, the backchecking forwards just could not handle his size, even gave Fleury and Heatherington fits. Also he is really tough to be pushed off the puck when he has it (look at his prime assist in game two), there is some definitely good talent in here.

I'm very optimistic about this kid.

He's looked great so far in the SSS and his size and skating have been on full display. Wouldn't at all be upset if he tops out as the Russian Adam Lowry.

Kraskovsky used to be one of my favourite darkhorse prospects for the Jets, but he just seemed to fizzle.
