I got my Red Line Report newsletter in the mail today and Kyle Woodlief's first rankings list of the season has Fimis #9 for 2022. There's also a full page write-up on him on the back page. Calls him a highly skilled centre that plays a 200-foot game with lots of competitiveness. 6-0, but needs to get stronger and put on some size, but the skating and the skill will be his meal ticket. He also gets high grades for hockey sense.

Fimis is a guy I guarantee will rocket up draft rankings once scouts are finally able to get a good look at him in the OHL.

Fimis was playing power play and PK in his first OHL game (albeit, he is a 17yo) but still a nice vote of confidence by the coach. By my eyes, he's earned it with his play. He looked very good. Here's a clip of his goal.

His two-way game has been something that has been praised since he was in Bantam. No surprise there.

should see a near PPG season out of him this season.

Watching last game now and I don’t see how people view him as a top 20-25 pick. His offensive instincts aren’t that great, he’s a good forechecker and plays tough but is that worthy of a first rounder? He looks more like a late second, early third.

He is listed as 5'11 on EP and his team site, but he is listed as 5'9" on Central Scouting's list and The Black Book.

Curious what the truth is. He is someone I am interested in around round 4-5 if he is there.
