Already off to a strong start after a 5 point outing last night in a 5-3 win.

He now has 7 points in 2 games to start the year.

"Only" a two point game in a 7-6 win yesterday. Up to 9 points in his first 3 games at the U18 level. It's early but he is on pace to put up similar totals to Matthew Savoie (71pts in 31gp) and Connor Bedard (84pts in 36gp)

Another 4 point game to bring him to 13 in 4 games. Can anyone more familiar with the CSSHL shine some light on the situation? Is he playing a weak a schedule due to being based on the island? Obviously it’s early but if he keeps it up he is going to make Bedard’s 14 year old season look pedestrian despite being listed at 5’0 105lbs vs Bedard who was essentially the same size he is today.

Surely they can’t grant him exceptional status due to his size but he will absolutely terrorize the league if he goes back - especially considering a growth spurt is inevitable. I have a few of his games circled in the next couples months, have to see for myself how he’s doing it.

CSSHL is always a bit of a grab bag. Lots of very good players but, especially now with about 49,000 teams in their U18 division, the teams range from quite good to pretty forgettable. PCHA has had a little bit of success in the past few years, but is by no means one of the top academies in the league and it looks like they haven't played against the teams that usually are the top of the table - primarily Burnaby and Delta.

Are there any news about his decision for what country he will play? Is there still any small chance, the German DEB can convince him to play for Germany?

Anything is possible, I suppose - but he grew up in Canada and has played hockey in Canada for as long as stats have been documented.

If he is given the opportunity to play for Canada internationally - he most certainly will.

Thanks, I have to agree. But I at least hope the DEB will give it a try!

He's up to 5'6 now according to EP. He's 4th all time in PPG by a U15 year old this year in the CSSHL U18.

Bedard - 36/41/43/84 (2.33PPG)
Savoie - 31/31/40/71(2.29PPG)
McKenna - 33/23/42/65 (1.86PPG)
Kosick - 30G/10/35/45 (1.50PPG)

Only 4 players to have scored a PPG pace and have more than 3GP. I think most people have Verhoeff as the top pick, but I think Kosick has a legit shot at #2. His maturity and Dominance has improved from what I've seen. He's not as physically challenged as before. Still noticeably small but he's looking more like someone who can play at the next level.

14 years old? Still a couple years to even consider talking about height.

The being said. He’s shorter than Logan Stankoven.

yeah he's probably going to fall, has college concerns among the size concern. Him, Lin and Rudolph are the 3 high end guys who have NCAA worries from whl teams that I've heard. Maybe Rucks also if they don't go to the same team.

Maybe NTDP is able to lure him next year like they did with William Moore.
