C Matvei Korotky - SKA-1946, MHL (2024, 211th, STL)

Ten goals and eighteen points in eleven games (albeit in the MHL, but he's proven he's above that level). A seventh-round draft pick of the St. Louis Blues in 2024 (and honestly my second favorite pick in the Blues' draft behind Jecho), Korotky is on a stacked team, but he's still doing an incredible job, has good hockey sense, a solid shot, and drives to the net.

I didn't notice a thread for him, so I decided I'd make one myself. His future is definitely bright.

He can, he actually played a bit in the preseason for the VHL team.

The first goal just speaks to Korotky's physicality. Just a solid physical presence to strip the puck away and a beautiful shot to end it.

He keeps impressing me with every game, and I wonder when SKA will move him up to their VHL team. He's clearly eclipsed the MHL.

Not sure what else this kid needs to do to prove he is ready to move up a league. It’s almost comical at this point, he’s just dominating juniors.
