Just wanted to start a thread for this guy, often overlooked in draft 2016 discussions but I believe is a dark horse to be picked in the first round. The guy does everything right, stands in front of the net, goes hard to the corners, competes at 100%, loves the game and scores greasy goals. Will never wow with skills like Nolan Patrick, but is determined. Style like Ryan Stone but better speed, just a solid 2 way Center.. As others see him play this season, please comment on this thread what you like/dislike about his game.

He found his way onto Canadian national teams despite not being a flashy young forward like most players his age. Kaspick has all the makings to become a good NHL bottom 6 forward. Definitely someone who will be looked at late in the 1st and in the 2nd.

Here's a stat that might surprise some people. Kaspick just played his 76th WHL game, most of them with very little quality ice time. Total Non PP & PK goals scored 6. Sam steel, after 76 games had scored 10 non PP and PK goals. Totally different players, steel has vision, Kaspick has grit, but I bet most ppl thought Steel was further ahead scoring ES goals than this, especially in light of his superior ice time

to be fair, always thought of steel as a playmaker more than a goal scorer. kapick really impressed me in the games i have seen, even so like another poster eluded to, probably wont go in the first 2 rounds, doesnt make him a write off just likely wont go that high

Kaspick scored the OT winner last night in game one of the WHL final. Typical greasy goal that he scores by going to the tough areas of the ice. I gotta think this guys work ethic, smarts and attitude gets him picked in round 3 or 4....

Kaspick came back this fall with an extra step of speed and top 6 ice time, and the result is 7 goals in 7 games
Next season he is going to physically dominate the WHL in both ends of the ice, if he can just get his scoring touch a bit better St Louis will have an NHL player.

Well that's good to hear.

I have to say, I thought he was among the worst prospects we had at the summer camp, so this news is surprising. His play with the puck was terrible and he never seemed to be able to process the game well at all. I guess it could be nerves got the best of him then, so I'm happy to hear this kind of news.

He is a heart and soul guy, always been a Leader and captain throughout his career, he won't be a high end scorer but more a solid bottom six guy, PK etc. Another goal tonight for him
