It's pretty common for players to just add a Y onto a player's name, or part of their name, as a nickname. I imagine they'd call him Jelly.

He was 1+0 vs Germany today for the u18 team and was controlling play very well. 8/12 on face offs. Oh yah and he was a +5 ! Rangy 2 way centre who reminds me a lot of Ryan johansen
