He's a good player, but he doesn't have enough of an edge. He's too friendly toward his opponents. I'd like to see more pushing and checking, less hugging.

Small speedy center/wing producing over a PPG in Leksands J-20 with minimal callup.

He put up some really good numbers in the SuperElit while playing a solid two-way game.

Unbelievable he did't even got drafted. Probably the first Captain of Swe U-18 who never got drafted?

Edit: he wasn't the first captain of U-18. Still unbelivevable.

I watched Nick Henry play for Regina, and I watched Hugg at the u18s, and I'm not sure I see some real difference. Both smart, both smaller but real stocky, both not particularly good skaters or any standout skills. Wasn't sure about what either projected as in the NHL. But the fact that Hugg went undrafted and Henry went top 100 is interesting. I thought they were similar players, but CHL bias would likely play a hand. Didn't think Hugg would not go drafted though.

Hugg has committed to Kitchener Rangers in the OHL for the upcoming season. Will be there on loan.
