Next big player out of Ornskoldsvik Sweden. Played in U18 leagues regularly last year and was an A for U16 Modo Teams...pretty young for the 2018 class too with his Birthday being in Late July, still only 14, plus hes 5'9"/5"10" which is pretty big for a 14 year old.

Wernblom did just win TV-pucken as the captain of team Ã…ngermanland, and got the award for best forward in the tournament. He looks more and more like the real deal. Such a complete player.

Strange that Magnus never played in the NHL. He would be perfect in small rinks.

So would Lukas! Dominated WSI u15 in Philly this summer, named MVP of the tourney. Got that mean streak and grit to his game that fits really well to the smaller surface.

Always tought that as well.

To Aftonbladet in 2000:
"– NHL är inget alternativ. Den sociala tryggheten betyder mer än pengar, säger han."
In english for non-swedes:
"NHL is not an option. Social secutiry is more important than money, he says"

He could have had an Holmstrom career over in the NHL for sure.

Man of the match today against Slovakia in the IH-memorial. Hope he gets a chance in Allsvenskan this year.

Pretty sure he will

Not unlikely, but he will have to do some scoring in J20 Superelit first.

Really unusual style he plays, doesn't look like anything special but he just racks up points everywhere. He's also really mean like his father.

Sounds like he will be playing tonights pre-season game against Sundvall in SCA-cupen. :handclap:

Just scored his first goal with the big guys, against Mora. He's doing really well out there, even against men.

Was dominant last season in the JSM final week in Nyköping. Most interesting forward out of Sweden in years IMO.

Really? I havnt seen much of him, since he has not played in superelit yet. J18 elit/allsvenskan is not anything I watch much off to be honest. But with those words I expect nothing else but dominance from him this season in superelit and at very least some good shows in allsvenskan as well.

I don't think we will see another Peter Forsberg for next 50-100 years.

If Sweden will get a Backstrom/Zetterberg level player it would be great.

Karlsson is a d-men but he is better than Forsberg was. Forsberg is probably our best forward ever yes, but he is not out of reach. It is very possible we get another forward in forsberg caliber or even better in a 10 years time.

After a nice start in J20 (6 points in 7 games) he will debut in Allsvenskan against AIK tomorrow!

12:09 TOI tonight. Had a couple of good chances in PP. Impressive debut imo!
