This kid caught my eye. 5'11 185 centre on the Rockets. Late 99 birthday. 2nd in team scoring after Kole Lind. 0.5 PPG in his draft -1 year, 12 points in 11 games so far this year. Plays hard on both ends of the ice. Excels at both passing and shooting. I have him in the 4th-5th as of now but if he keeps it up I could see him rising definitely. Anyone have more info on this kid?

Very underrated in other rankings I’ve seen. He’s floating around the 4th right now for me but has a big climb potential. Yeah I really see Kole in him.

Saw him for the first time today vs Victoria and was very impressed. Hope the Habs are keeping a close eye on him.

Very similar player to Lind, but good in his own right indeed. Should go top 60 but like Landy said, he'll probably go mid-rounds and be a steal for somebody.
 
Shocked he did not get drafted. If he gets an invite and signs somewhere, I think he becomes a steal. Wanted the Flyers to take him with any of their picks from the 4th rd onward.
 
No idea how he was passed up. I think Canucks are stupid to not have drafted him.
 
this only proves how stupid so many GMs and scouts are - how you can be paid to scout and not draft this kid is f***ing absurd. what is the knock on him??? honestly, what is it, his size? he isn't tiny.. his speed? he isn't slow...his IQ?? pretty smart and reliable player from what I have seen. he produces this year, do they think he was just a wingman?? I just don't get it at all.. here comes another Tyler Johnson player that will make it all the way to the show proving how dumb many scouts/GMs are still...

Kyle Topping will be a NHLer and one of my favorite players for this draft.

Not really when those USHS and USHL players play some sort of NHL style of game or have an NHL trait. Topping plays a very junior style of game and some players in the past that I would consider solid were passed over for the season reason.
