Jared McCann trade about to be another arrow in Hextall's great move quiver.
As we watch McCann be a reliable 30g scorer for Seattle.
That’s it! Just tell Sullivan he’s from Boston! Say he goes by “Philip”.
Come to camp? To try and make the NHL.Why would he do that?
But he’s not going to make the NHL. At this point he’s better served having a steady career in Europe.Come to camp? To try and make the NHL.
Does he have to pass through waivers again if he signs?
Only if he signed while the NHL season was still going on. The report is that he will come back over this summer, so it will essentially be like any other free agent.Does he have to pass through waivers again if he signs?
Then he goes on waivers and every team can have a crack at him.But he’s not going to make the NHL. At this point he’s better served having a steady career in Europe.
Like I know we want the best things for the Pens here, but considering what a younger more established Poolparty has been through this year, it’s be malpractice for Hallander’s management to push for that.
It sucks but we blew it with him and we shouldn’t really even plan on that.
It actually makes sense for everyone involved.Yeah, there is no way this makes sense for anyone involved.

Based on the fact that we could have had him developing as we wanted him here and we did not make any effort to do so, Emp.I mean, what is this based on exactly? Is this just a rehash of the "Mike Sullivan hates Euros" argument?
I'm not really seeing anything with his playstyle that makes me think Sullivan would have an issue with his game. He seems to basically just be a bit older and developed Ponomarev. I'd bet on him being used more like Blueger under Sullivan than Puljujarvi tbh.
Shattuck-St. Mary’s right?Yeah but Blueger was basically American.
The only real advantage I can see to him signing here is that the Pens suck ass especially in the bottom six so there would be plenty of opportunity for him to make the team.I think he plays the type of game that could've gotten him a foot in the door, but this organization just didn't really give a shit about developing him and he kinda has no reason to give it another shot here. If he makes the NHL someday, it'll definitely be with a different team imo. /shrug
There's never an opportunity to make this team with Sullivan, man. They keep the bottom-6 stocked to the gills with dogshit journeymen year after year. Puljujarvi's outplayed everyone in the bottom-6 (and some in the top-6) by miles in the minimal opportunity he's been given and he can't land a constant spot in the lineup. /shrugThe only real advantage I can see to him signing here is that the Pens suck ass especially in the bottom six so there would be plenty of opportunity for him to make the team.

But hey, call me when he makes the roster and I’ll eat crow. Until then keep this kind of post in the Hypothetical Prospect Thread, thnx.
