Saw Oshawa live today and after noticing him several times I looked him up I had to do a double-take to make sure he was only 16.

The points aren’t there yet as his team is not very cohesive but I loved his puck-carrying, as well as his skating for a 6’6 C. Had a few good zone entries and smart plays even if his linemates were not much help. Not sure what he’ll be yet, but I think we’ll be hearing this name more and more for 2026.

If Rogowski learns how to play big & utilize his size, I can only imagine what his potential could be.

What's your projected 2025 Hlinka lineup? Link me to it if you've posted it in another thread.
I'm just starting to binge USHL games for this season, so I'm not ready to say. I probably don't know well enough at this point.

I'll try to remember to answer you in like a month, but ask me this time next month if I haven't already answered you.

Few guys that are locks for the Hlinka roster IMO: Blake Zielinski (Des Moines), Jack Hextall (Youngstown), Shaeffer Gordon-Carroll (Medicine Hat) and Kalder Varga (Kelowna).

There have been numerous times this season where he'll do something and I have a brief moment of wondering which of the Gens stars it was before realizing it's the huge sixteen year old rookie again.
What do you think his potential is and what does he need to work on?

Required some googling and EP searching and all that. Don’t know all of them, so I could be missing someone obvious or listed someone who doesn’t belong, but this is what I came up with.

The forwards look pretty good. I think that’s 2-3 first round picks there and probably as many second rounders. Defense looks dire (NTDP is barely any better, so it seems like a problem with the available players). Not sure there’s a top two rounds player in the group and only three American defensemen have played a regular season this year in major junior across the four NA leagues. Goaltending kind of looks okay.

Ethan Garden deserves consideration for the forward core IMHO. Otherwise, very solid

Finishes his 16 year old rookie season in the O with 66 GP, 23 PTS.

One of my DY breakout candidates for the 2026 Draft, such a unique package with his size and speed.
Yep love this profile. What drove me to even create this thread was watching him live creating opportunities and initiating zone entries like a 20 year old; and this was mid-October with very little OHL experience or ice time. Really looking forward to watching him next year.

Yes, I think the fact that he went straight from Michigan High School Hockey to the O and contributed a fair amount in limited ice time in his 16 year old season is pretty impressive. Combine that with the skill/size package & a TOI boost in 2025-26, you could have a 2nd round grade (or even better) for Rogowski.
