Had good year as overager in USHL and got drafted by Hawks in 3rd round

Seems to have pretty good skillset overall and had a very strong first year for U. of Denver this year

Feels like Hawks might have a gem here with his play this year establishing himself as a legit prospect for Hawks going forward

Nazar, Greene, James and him really giving boost to Hawks system via 2022 Draft with all 4 making impacts/positive impressions in NCAA this year.

He is definitely on the Black Hawks radar.

Thompson is an extremely fast-paced elite passer with a solid shot. He has a well rounded game that plays on both ends of the ice. He has shown a strong offensive game and seems to be a late bloomer who can make a difference in the NHL potentially in a middle six capacity.
