Former BC Eagle was drafted by Edmonton but the Oilers chose not to sign him last summer.

Has one year remaining on his contract with Kuopio so he will not be a free agent until next spring.

He scored a career-high 18 goals to lead KalPa.

On the downside he turns 25 next month.

Is there anything to see in terms of NHL potential?

I would have liked him to sign with Edmonton because 1) we can always use cheap depth 2) having a defensively responsible 4C is never a bad thing 3) the centre depth in Bakersfield is poo.

As far as we have heard, it’s not like there was any bad blood between the two sides, so it might still happen. Devin Shore is a UFA this summer so there’s definitely a spot at 14F available. :dunno:

Oilers should sign him.
He is more exciting to have a gamble at than Devin shore.

After Yamamoto gets traded, and Shore not resigned, they can bring him and Holloway in to cover up.
