I wonder if they plan to work RJohnson into some games down the stretch? They have a very nice, balanced trio of pairs right now. Hell, Rathbone seems like the guy who should come out and I straight up prefer him over Clague. *shrug* But they have some redundancy now.

I remember the WJCs in Buffalo when people were ragging on how Dahlin was always way up the ice and aggressively out of position but his partner was back and supporting him... and they had Brannstrom (the aggressive PMD) confused with his partner Dahlin (the safety valve).

That said, he has had a couple of stints of okay play at the NHL as a third pairing guy though not in Colorado. Maybe he sticks around beyond this year but for now... good add for the Amerks.

Seems like the path to the better money and easier life is the NL -- see Pilut (who missed all year with a ruptured achilles).
