Taking a trade that involved a massive overpayment and using it as a baseline for another trade is probably a mistake.

Jeannot is not a baseline for Buchnevich.

It's understandable to want to know the price if the Blues went in that direction or used him as a major piece to get a top pairing defenseman, but it's unlikely to be a deadline trade. Also Buchnevich has been one of the better players this year and right now the Blues are desperate to build around anyone skilled young and consistent, so he wouldn't be in any futures trade, it would be a hockey trade for a defenseman IMO.
