It makes me feel slightly better knowing AV is out there ruining some other team. We are all in this together.

Buch had a great season but we get absolute pond scum for him. Risto who also is a UFA in a year has one of the worst seasons in recent memory and teams are banging down the door to give up 1sts and 2nds.

idk maybe something is wrong with the nhl , maybe 75 percent of GM’s are just dark age morons

I think it’s all about Buch being viewed as a soft, inconsistent player who needs elite talent around him to be productive in the NHL. I suspect a lot of people here are suffering from recency bias and not looking at his entire career. Buch had a great season but overall has been average to below average in many areas of his on ice game.

How big of a step do Laf and Kakko take with added responsibility? How much does having a real 34rd/4th line improve the Rangers?

I still have concerns about Kakko's offensive progress. I actually think there is a chance, when all is said and done, that Kravtsov becomes the superior player, at least offensively. Laff I have to hope turns into the player we all think he could. Otherwise, we will be kicking ourselves we didn't take Byfield.

I feel like if we got Blais and a 1st that would have been a steal for us. Blais and a 2nd (at least it is 2022) obviously feels undervalued. I think I would have been ok with Blais, 2022 2nd, 2022 3rd.

I would have been happy with either Thomas and the 2nd or just a straight up 1st with or without Blais.

Flip Strome for Soucy, sign Danault 5x5.5. His ask is reportedly 5.5M. Won’t cost more than 6.

Laf - Zib - KK
Pan - Dan - Krav
Kreider - Chytil - Goodrow
Blais - Barron - Gauthier
Lindgren - Fox
Miller - Trouba
Soucy - Lundkvist

If the kids just progress normally that’s a better and tougher team to play against, IMO.

They gave him away. The idea that a guy like Blais is gonna come here and neutralize Tom Wilson is a joke anyway. He's a depth guy that could be off the team in a year. He is not anywhere near the same stratosphere as Tom Wilson. He's a waiver pickup/cheap free agent signing.

Yup, those are the kind of guys you hope to draft in like the 2-5th round or sign to a reasonable contract when you are ready to compete.

You mean Stutzle right? Jury is out on all 3 of them still in my book.
