1. Probably not if I had to guess. Some team will give him a crazy deal.
2. Probably 6-7 years
3. Probably between $6 million and $7 million per year

I'd be happy if the Penguins could keep him for the Hyman contract, maybe with a year less. But I think he gets at mimunum 6x6 in UFA, and with how good he has been this year, I think it's getting even closer to 6.5x7 or 7x7.

As a Pens fan I say give him 8 year term to keep the AAV down. He’s one of the fastest skaters in the league so even if he “slows down” he’ll still be very effective, and he’s one of the hardest working players who keeps himself in great shape, so I’m not worried about the term at all with this player. 8 years x $5.5 — 6 million. If he wants more than 6 then let him walk.

He definitely “deserves” more than Hyman got.

As a Penguins fan I’d offer 6x5.
