I'll go with Kreider was just as bad as Zbad if not worse.

but that’s almost to be expected. Kreider is not a line driver. If his center is trash he’s not going to Carry a line. Never has even at his best. Mika wiring pucks wide on the pp I mean what’s kreider supposed to do with that? I certainly haven’t seen Mika set him up at all for anything. That’s come from others. Kreider is a streaky player he was on a good run a week back.

Mika has 1 goal folks. Mika Zibanejad has one goal

Doesn’t help there are no easy nights or goalies in this division either.
You're not totally off but There was with Buffalo and Pitt and we went 2-4. Not gonna include Blackwood cause he did look decent in the small sample size this year.

thst guy in Buffalo has been brilliant from the stsrt not for nothing. Ullmark he’s been a brick house.

pens goalies sucks. As does Washingtons

No, that would be HORRIBLE asset managment at this point. What do you figure the value of Kakko is right now?

Maybe higher than it will be in another year?

Look at Georgiev and DeAngelo. Things change all the time.

The Rangers need a C. Do what you can to get one.

Kreider has not done much to impact the game lately, Zbad at least is getting chances.

Yeah I'm not sold on Ullmark but he sure does look like a brick house against us this year.

If by C you mean Coach then yes. They also need another C but its not gonna make a difference with this coach at the helm.

For me Igor’s goal tonight was unlucky; the space was minuscule. The five hole goal George let in because he didn’t put his paddle down was bad.

Yeah, he had it covered. Looks like he relaxed for a split second after the save. WTF was Lindgren doing on that goal anyway? He just let his man get his rebound and score.

You're overselling his impact. He has 2 points in 13 games that did not include an empty net, and 3 total.

Watching this team is an exercise in f***ing futility right now. So frustrating.

The Negatives:

1. KZB as a whole. The "first line" from last year is generally accomplishing squat right now. Zibanejad needs to be sat or get a kick in the ass. Can't believe they gave Kreider that contract at the time and it is aging like fine milk. Unbelievable thought process there.

2. Speaking of questionable contracts, please get Trouba off PP2. Every time he gets the puck he spams a useless shot that ends up killing zone time. He is proof positive that all shot attempts are not created equal.

The Infuriating:

1. For the last 10+ years the Bruins have been operating under the premise of "the refs can't call them all" and getting away with it. It's absolutely ridiculous that strategy has worked in the NHL for this long.

The Positives:

1. Don't think I've ever been more confident that Kakko is going to be a really good player since he made his NHL debut.

Some of y’all who said you were ready for a rebuild were not, in fact, ready for a rebuild.
I don't think its absurd to want to see some results here 3 full years after the letter for a team that includes two top 2 picks. I don't think anyone here expected them to be contenders (I myself had them at 5th in this division). But that doesn't mean we shouldn't expect to see some real progress and results. Getting shut out consistently isn't that. And like @Uninstaaled said, the real problem here is the guy behind the bench. No amount of patience in the world is gonna make up for that.

It’s honestly embarrassing for a player of his caliber

He seemed to have pride last game and I don't know where it went. Honestly, I didn't care that he didn't score last game. I understand being snake bitten, but he's just not doing anything. His first period seemed ok but just overall he sucked.

NGL I would have preferred last year's result where we lose 6-4 for pure entertainment value alone.

Remember when Kaako lost every puck battle last year and look absolutely lost when he had the puck? Thats the rest of the team and Kaako looks like the pre World Championships...well until he shoots the puck. Then that's last year's Kaako.

Honestly this team is playing better defense than that 2011-2012 team. The difference is goaltending. That team would caved in terms of possession more than this one, at least according to the eye test. Maybe the numbers don't bear that out, but I think that team was overrated defensively. They had a bunch of grinders that played sound defense, Girardi during his best season, Staal before he got the puck in the eye, and McDonagh, but I swear that team seemed like their primary defensive strategy is blocking shots, it was especially bad in the playoffs. They just had a HOF goalie who played at his absolute best level. That said shockingly that team somehow had an offense light years better than this offense and they were like middle of the road. They're absolute garbage now.

Oh hellllll NOOOOooooooOOOOO there is going be no 2011-12 Black and Blueshirts slander on my watch.

You are forgetting where the game was at that period in time, they played a perfect style and had a perfect team makeup for that era of hockey.

That team also had so much better depth up front than today's team and being able to roll the lines like that was such an advantage.

And most importantly an elite goalie like Lundqvist was somewhat of a...rarity. Goaltending across the league has improved so much since then.

And Laf is looking better here and there. Fox too while not as great this game. I think there are a many positives.

Yet yeah the negative, the bigger longer contracts to those who are not near top of the league for their positions seem like they are going to hurt the Rangers, like always.

Wasn't Fedotenko a 3rd liner on that team? This team with Chytil has Chytil and Laf on the 3rd line. This team is more talented. The talent is just not producing. Extremely disappointing.
