Boston Bruins Owner Jeremy Jacobs joined NESN’s Dale Arnold on “Bruins Face-Off Live†to talk about how important and exciting it is for postseason hockey to be back at TD Garden. Jacobs also discussed the importance of leadership — both on and off the ice — and the changes that were made during the season that got the Bruins back in the playoffs.

He was on with Gouch between periods too. You know he loves that popcorn popping and those three day old dogs rolling.

As I was stuffing my face with pregame pizza, my first thought when I saw JJ on the TV was, "Oh. So now he comes out?"

Seriously, where has anyone in ownership/management - JJ, Charlie, Cam - shown up? Cam did one post-Claude interview with Felger a few months ago IIRC, and that's been just about the only appearance of anyone of them. And it was a huge deal, because Cam used to do Felger and Mazz every week last season until he got pissed off.

I feel like Don's been out there a little more than the rest, but I'm not sure. I don't need weekly updates necessarily, but I'd like to see them not just during the "good times".

Sidebar: Anyone know if JJ stayed for the whole game this time? (Actually, I'll be the first to admit that I have full sympathy for JJ leaving early. I've got a 78 year-old father, and if I take him to a baseball game, we rarely make it to 10 innings, and leave much earlier if it's a blowout.)

He better stsrt lighting fires under the NHL's ass after tonights ******** or it wont be around long

I can think of THREE high profile NHL owners who are seething right now after what happened Monday night. Jacobs, Ted Leonsis (Washington) and Rocky Wirtz (Chicago)

Inconsisity by NHL officials is the biggest problem the league faces. Nashville tonight tied up their game with Chicago on a goal that reeked goaltender interference.

Yes he is. He doesn't care if the Bruins lose in 5...he gets that precious playoff gate and sells $12 dollar beers. The job Cam and Don did was successful in his eyes.

That's what he does. $$$$ don't buy the $12 beer. Don't buy anything in there. Tickets and parking should be enough. Take the T if you can. People complain about the concessions but still buy them.

Hey he spends all the way to the ceiling so, he can't be that bad NOW.

Well, to some Americans the picnic is just more important than the actual game.

12$ for a beer ...

I keep on hearing that he has a lot of influence with Bett man. What a laugh, when is the last time the B's got favorable officiating.

I haven't bought a beer inside an arena in years(except for my girlfriend). I drink enough before and after at Sully's Tap and T's Pub. Remember the days of LA beer at the old Garden? Stroh's Light?

While Dale Arnold was busy kissing his *** in their little chat one of the things Montgomery Burns spewed out was what a great job Harry had done here for so long. Yup no cups, small payroll, playoffs, lots of money for JJ.

Jeremy Jacobs is on a very small list of people I will celebrate when they die but evil like him lasts forever.

If someone made you millions upon millions by screwing other people you would be singing his praises too. Still to this day the hell with this guy for taking Bourque to arbitration.

Only JJ longs for the days of Harry...

Oh he's excited? Good to know! I've been really worried about JJ's feelings lately.

the playoffs are a pure cash cow for owners. They aren't paying their players unless their are playoff incentives so all the $$ goes straight to their pockets. That's why Jacobs is happy their are back in the playoffs. That and he can now somehow justify raising ticket prices again for the next three years.

JJ when asked about Cam and Don was very clear when he said they are Boston people and I didn't need to bring in an outsider.

On the coaching change he said everybody is happy, Claude is making more money now and we have someone who can coach this team.

He said he was spoiled by Harry but it was so much wasier to make the playoffs back then - for a few years after the merger with the WHA it was 16 out of 21.
