Very baffling the B for Marchand... He is almost ppg... 5th OA in points for the whole NHL... If that's not an A, I don't know what is.

The writer cites Backes as a disappointment and a bad contract.

Yet fails to mention or notice Backes production is at pretty much the exact same pace it was last season in St. Louis. Was he expecting Backes to join the Bruins and see his production take a dramatic upswing? And anything less was a disappointment.

Overall, the grades are fairly accurate. Except the coaching. Way, way off base.

Hayes at a D- is complete crap. We don't give F's anymore? Hope they all get participant trophies at the end of the season.

Brilliant for stretches and average for stretches. Has had 2 10 game stretches of 1 goal.

Giving McQuaid and Kevan Miller the same B- grade is criminal. Miller has been a train wreck on the back end this year, while McQuaid has been very solid. Especially when you factor in him being one of the very few who is willing to stand up for his teammates. Kevan Miller? Well, he's occupied some space, and shouldn't be playing over Colin Miller or Joe Morrow.

Kevan has been playing some good hockey as of late.

Julien has Stephen Harris wrapped around his finger, laughable. Marchand with a B ? Backes with a C ? He is doing everything he was supposed to do as a Bruin.

I am talking points, not goals. October: 10 points... November: 10 points... December: 11 points... January: 18 points. With Bergeron well below par, mind you. I wish more of our forwards would have this kind of performance. That's an A for me.

I think the report card is fair enough on some players, but off on others. My changes would be adjustments of:

Coaching (A- to B-): powerplay has been abysmal, can't be A- due to that alone.

Front office (C to D): this roster they assembled has not worked out and major holes still exist.

Khudobin (D- to F): been plain awful. Nothing about his play deserves anything above an F.

Morrow (C- to C+): the writer cites his inability to stay in the lineup as an issue as if that's his fault. He has upped his play quite a bit, all the while being spot-played.

Liles (C+ to D): He has cost the team games with his crappy play. He has been largely ineffective offensively, which is supposed to be a strength. He's not very good any more.

Krug (B to B+): His early season shooting pct woes were bad, but he has been excellent other than that.

Hayes (D- to F): writer loses any credibility giving Hayes anything above an F. If there was a grade lower than a F Hayes would get it.

Marchand (B to A-): Marchand may be streaky, but he brings it every night and has scored key goals and has made key plays more than any other Bruin this season.

Remember,he had a 5 point game in October and a 5 point game in January.

I would have found it very hard to give a guy leading his position in scoring less than A as well

I am not a big KEVIN Miller guy at all. But he easily out plays Joe Morrow in my mind.Morriw should be packaged first chance they get Not going to be making it in Boston. Just my 2 cents. As for these marks.Same guy will be changing tune they could find a way into playoffs.I put nothing into it.

The report card seems a bit optimistic. How can the team average be a C- for the players but the teams should get a grade of F to this point because unless they go on a 9 wins in 10 game run they are out of the playoffs for a third strait year?

Pretty accurate just a few tweaks for me. Liles has not been better than C.Miller not that Miller has been a world beater but definitely better than Liles in my eyes.

Just a little generous with A- for Coaching.

I would bump Marchand up to a A- .

Everyone and on D got a better mark than they deserve.

2 games skew the big picture. 39 points in 50 games,49 points in 52 games.

64 points (39 pts in 50 games pace) from a 1st line winger is still very good. Especially on a team clearly struggling to score goals.

In fact, that'd be a career high.
