Absolutely terrible they deserve what they got from the fans

Thankfully I went to the BU playoff game as a fan, but I watched the replay.

I haven't heard booing like this in 9 years going back to when they blew a playoff spot in the final against Ottawa.

This final month is going to be hard to watch.

They should boo they witnessed one of the worst periods of Bruins hockey in the past quarter century with that 2nd period last night. Imagine paying money to watch that embarrassing performance. Like paying to see the Globetrotter vs. the Generals and you paid to cheer for the Generals.

So majority of Bruins fans were pushing to trade guys away and rebuild.....and now were booing because the team did just that, and they're awful.

Yeah I don't get it, really, Sure, they were terrible, but they played hard and were just outclassed by a much better team. The D corps looks like an expansion draft roster from the Columbus days. It's called a rebuild. But maybe a bunch of those fans just look at the standings and think the team can make a legit playoff push?

It’s not the lineup, it’s the lack of effort. These guys have completely mailed it in and are looking forward to the summer. I’d bet a team that has a 1-81 record would still show more effort on the ice than the Bruins did last night.

3-4 ahl players on the roster currently.

I didn't see a lack of effort, I saw a lack of talent. That d corps has to be the worst in the league right now, and as pointed out, there are several AHLers in the lineup: Mitchell, Brown, Lettieri, Beecher (yes) and some forwards slotted above where they should be.

Probably 95 percent plus of those in attendance at the game last night don't even know hfboards exists. They only hear about Bruins information from the radio, TV, and newspapers. They probably bought their tickets months ago expecting to see players like Marchand, McAvoy, Coyle, and others, securely in a playoff spot, - only to see a team of new faces and struggling wannabe NHL talent playing for a team in transition. Most of those fans are probably casual hockey fans who paid good money hoping to be entertained and encouraged by a good performance.

The booing should be expected under the circumstances.

The team as a whole knows they disappointed and need to do better ... probably to the man. Unfortunately, they may be doing the best they can at the moment with what they have to work with.

Pastrnak can't be expected to carry this team by himself every night, he has been phenomenal since the new year, but he is only one man.

This is going to be a process that will take time to find out what they have, who belongs, and who needs to leave. Between now and the start of next season I expect there will be many more changes.

Meanwhile, average fans, not knowing the situation, that bought tickets long ago expecting a different product, will continue to boo.

I googled "what is the average ticket price to a Boston Bruins game" and the response I got was $190.

If I'm taking the time, effort, and money to go down to the Garden to witness this debacle, the last thing on my mind is the direction of the franchise or how many 2nd round picks they acquired at the deadline.

Aside from the booing ...

Tampa came in wanting to make a statement. They were embarrassed last Saturday being caught underestimating this Bruins team and being shut out 4 - 0 on their home ice.

Turn about is fair play. I hold out the second period as exhibit A. Boston was out played by a more talented and superior team who were holding a grudge and had something to prove and went out and did it.

Boston's effort was nullified by Tampa's superior talent. Give them credit, just like we gave the Bruins credit a week ago when they beat Tampa.

There is no longer any reason to not play some of their supposed better AHL prospect forthe remainder of the season.

No one was asking for them at the deadline so the is no reason to hide them. Maybe they can build some interest for the offseason or heaven forbid, look like they could make an impact at the NHL level. 1 or 2 game and being sent down does nothing for confidence or show any potential.

I'm not arguing ... I expect the boos. They have a right to be upset. They can boo all they want, but it is what it is.
Expect more of it going forward. It's going to take time to fix this mess.

There's plenty on Stubhub at $50 for tomorrow night.

Or they're just outmatched talent wise. In think they caught FLA & TBL sleeping last time. The Bruins had just sold at the TDL and I think TBL & FLA were looking past them. When it came around again for TBL, they weren't underestimating Boston and we saw what happened.
