Recently I got a Blank Bruins jersey for Christmas and I plan on getting it customized I was wondering where I should send it to get it customized, I live near Boston and I heard of a place called Custom Crafted and I've heard good reviews but is there anyone that has pictures of work they've done? I've also heard they do the jerseys for the B's proshop and the actual jerseys, is this true?

Also I want it to be a Krug jersey but I was also thinking I should get a player that has secured his place in Boston. Technically this is Krugs rookie season but he is obviously good but I don't want to get his jersey then him get traded in the offseason, Thoughts and opinions?

Custom crafted is legit, I've seen pictures. I'm anal about jersey accuracy too, they're dead on. As for safe players to get. ...you have 3 choices. 33,37,40. Beyond that, buyer beware

Thanks ill call for a quote tomorrow. And those are the three I figured were only safe. I think ill probably go with rask. Thanks for the input

Custom Crafted is where the Bruins Pro Shop sends special order jerseys to be stitched. A+ job.

Krejci IMO is pretty close to being safe.

Honestly wouldn't worry about safe players but will add that I think any player from the Cup run is legit for a jersey even if they didn't stay with the team (Kaberle jersey anyone?).

When I got my daughter her jersey for graduation is got her a Campbell one because he is her favorite player (even though I think he is a tradeable roster player).

Seguin was as safe as a jersey you could buy.

Bought my Savvy jersey the day after his big extension.

No such thing as a safe Jersey...although Bergeron is probably close

It's why I just get them blank. I'm relatively sure the team will always be here.

Before the new little Bruins fan came along, I was a total jersey w***e, having a friend at Reebok didn't help things at all.

Helps that I really like all 4 of our recent jerseys. I would love to see what our next WC jersey would look like, if our owner fought to get us into WC's instead of to lower the salary cap.

Sorry for the Cut and Paste Job... This is from one of the other Jersey Customization threads.

But - Yes - Custom Crafted is definitely the way to go, if you're looking for accuracy... See my note below:

The easiest way to tell a premier from an authentic is to look at the front of the jersey and see if there's a tag with the size info on it. The premiers have that big ugly tag on there and the authentics don't.

Btw, after a lot of research it seems like the only place to get 100% authentic names/numbers for Bruins jerseys is to go through Custom Crafted in Attleboro. I've looked at samples from a lot of the other big name places and the fonts all seem to be slightly off. Apparently Custom Crafted does the actual stitching for the Bruins. Anyone have any experience with them? Can I send them an authentic jersey from out of town and have it customized there?

Absolutely you can... My Milt Schmidt Winter Classic jersey was mailed to them from here in Maine. Just call them, tell them what you need - they'll give you quote for the lettering and the return postage. You'll have to use a money order, if I remember correctly. You just stick the money order, the Jersey, and a short note describing what is to be done, and a couple of weeks later you'll get a nice package in the mail.

One note on the fonts and whatnot... it's my understanding that they WILL use the absolute correct fonts - ESPECIALLY on Bruins jerseys. When I received my jersey back (see below) - I was confused... I was expecting the narrower, more condensed font that you typically see on the Winter Classic gamers.

Turns out that the jerseys that the legends wore for their skate at Fenway had this font exactly. If you order a legends jersey, they will use one font, if you order a player jersey, they'll use a different font. THAT'S what I call a true match.

That is so cool.

In hindsight I wish I had forked money over for a WC jersey. Not really into jerseys but I like the WC ones.

Makes me wish the Bruins would play in another one and I will be first in line to purchase one -well maybe not first but I will get one (unless it is really super ugly).

There is no such thing as a "safe jersey".
Of course, everyone can buy whatever he/she wants, but I will never understand why people buy jerseys of guys who didn't even play for the team yet ... or just a few games.
I only buy a jersey if a certain player has done something for the team.
I'm not "investing" in a maybe-franchise player, but I am appreciating and honoring the merits of a player/human who gave everything for the team I love.
Which is why, even if Bergy wasn't a Bruin anymore, I'd still buy his jersey over let's say Krug's or Smith's.
